Residential lots including clearing, grading, utilities and surface improvement
Overview: Turnkey site development of 55 residential lots including clearing, grading, utilities and surface improvements.
Spotlight: The project required construction of site utilities and grading through the winter months.
Problem: The soils encountered were above optimum moisture and could not obtain the required compaction.
Solution: Cement was mixed with all cut and fill materials as well as trench backfill materials to dry the native soils to within prescribed optimum moisture content.
Results: Fill materials were dried to optimum moisture content and prescribed compaction was achieved in all site fills and trench backfill.
